Truly the only limit to the thought process that a human can have is the limit of his imagination to his curiosity and towards his strife to continuously do new things that will not only help him advance but will also satiate his never quenching thirst for something new and something better. Though technological advancements are in many cases shown as more of a bane than like a boon by showing killer robots from the future taking over the human civilization just because we advanced too much for our own good or many a time technology is shown as the main reason to the continuously degrading situation of our planet both environmentally and socially. Though none of the lines that are said above are false, it is also true that all the solutions to the above-mentioned problems also lies in the hands of technology. It is unto us the master of technology to make sure that we are able to propel it in the correct way to not work as a force of destruction but as one of creation that will not only help us to reach greater heights but will also make this world of ours a much better place for our children to live in

This video on the sixth sense is an example where technology can be used to improve our ways of living and the lifestyle heavily. At the beginning of the lecture, a small problem is stated about the lack of seamless integration between us and the vast amount of data that now the world servers possess just because we do not have a ready to go medium that is both thorough yet effortless. Though mobile does come quite close to answering this problem but still in cases of instant requirement or easy availability it does not really solve the problem. This is when the device of the sixth sense enters. It is using the cameras and by connecting the ancillary technology that it possesses is able to seamlessly connect what we see to the data that are stored about it. It may be a book whose reviews we need, Photos that we have captured and want to see or even during simple desires like painting or calling someone it acts as if it is just an extension of our requirements. When the technology that we are using starts to feel like it is an extension of our oneself that is the time when we can understand that we are going the right way and this is exactly what this device tries to achieve. Now this device can be used in various ways and can truly be the next real revolution after the mobile. This device can seamlessly connect to our mental desire and can project and take a photo in moments when taking out a mobile may not be time convenient or possible. In the future, it is also possible that the device connects to our brain waves and can instantly show portray or function just based on our though without the need for any sort of commands or gestures. This will not only significantly reduce the number of spare materials that are nowadays needed to create mobiles as these devices will be much more frugal and integrated but will also be a true way of integrating the best of humans and machines so that both of them can work in a much more efficient way. This machine will also give the opportunity in the future to truly make this a connected world by connecting all the humans that have this on, very much like the connected technology that the driverless cars are trying to bring. This will not only make humans a single large community but will also be helpful on stress or times of danger when the victim may be able to call upon aid just by thinking about it, this along with instant uploading of data from the device that might too be available in the future will make revolutions in the police and crime solving industries, The potential of advancements and possibilities are huge and can only be truly fathomed as we move with the growth of this technology and the other revolutionary technologies that are now picking their fledgling head. We should just make sure that we nudge and guide these fledglings towards a positive side where they will be able to help the humans and the world and do not use them to destroy us through our blind greed.

There are many such new technologies that are being unveiled with many not being able to withstand the test of time while others are marching on with the aim of being the next greatest revolution in the technological industry. One such technology that I believe is right now heavily spreading its wings and do have the firepower to be the next great change truly is that of IOT. This is a technology through which all the devices anywhere in the world is connected to each other and continuously transferring messages between them in order keep them up to date. This technology is like a base for many other technologies to work on. With the help of this technologies not only a very small thing like a smart house door can update the arrival of the owner and thus make all the lights and the cooling system of the house automatically start to make it a comfortable return for the owner but it can even be an ambulance which can monitor a patient while moving and continuously update the doctor who is at the hospital about the type of problem that he is facing and what should the doctor be ready with to make the most of the time. It can be used to prevent great disasters like smart houses updating on some faulty portion of their foundation that needs to be improved or notifying a city about an impending cyclone and instantly and automatically take precautions about the same. These are the types of technology that truly make the human race take a step forward towards the future. I had the luck to see such a smart IOT in action when a smart bridge was installed in our city which not only kept updating the authority about the state of its various parts and which needs to be pre-emptively taken care of so that it does not entail a bigger cost in the future but also by integrating with the traffic service gave live updates about the traffic situation in that area at that point of time and if the people on their way to offices or their places of work should actually use that bridge at that point of time. This IOT is also the backbone of the latest blue-eyed boy for almost all the scientist, the driverless cars as it is through this interconnected network and continuously updating each other does this technology actually plan to work. Though most of these technologies are still in their infant states and might take a decade or two to really come to a level to truly change or a make a difference in the lives of the humans that they are supposed to serve but still it is these advancements and these technologies that keep the people hopeful of maybe a better future tomorrow.

The biggest thing that you can understand while you research about these new technologies and these industries in a similar way that I learned now is that there is no end to the imaginations of a human being, and it is due to this imagination that we are continuously improving and advancing. The best thing about it is that the rate of this advancement is actually increasing. What we have now or what technology can do for us now was impossible for us to even think about maybe 50 years in the past. It is through this continuous improvement and advancements that we truly make it certain that we are truly meant to be the prime species to roam this planet. This advances of technology and the stories behind it in many scenarios also show the inspiring stories of what a person can do through sheer will and dedication as well as a dominant belief that he can do something good for the human race or species, This is shown very clearly in lives of great inventors like Elon Musk who showed that it is completely ok to give up the last penny of your saving, fail and suffer losses multiple times and still keep going towards your goal to make this planet a better one and at last succeed in it paving the way for many futures such entrepreneurs to be inspired by you and create and achieve great feats. It is shown by Tesla that it is completely ok to be never really valued during your lifetime just because you dared to think much ahead of the norm and also had the courage and guts to go ahead and try to achieve that, by Aristotle to say that if what you truly believe will make you go against the world it is ok to do so for the overall betterment of humanity. These tales of technologies are littered with such great men and role models who acts a beacon to not only many such new budding thinkers but also one step at a time makes our world a better place to live in. But while reading and learning about this topic I could also see a relatively bad portion or side of this world of technology, I could see and learn through various stories of this great innovators how in many portions they could not achieve what they wanted to just because of the lack of sufficient funding because the people were not even ready to accept the new thought that he was promoting like a bulb in the middle of candles. How many inventions do not even see the light of day or commercialization because it threatens the well-established companies and the governments and will take away the profits from them. These examples show how the short-sightedness of a few human beings can actually work as a hindrance towards to the greater development. This research also showed me the patenting of various of these technologies which when taken over or acquired by the companies are generally reduced into a mere way for them to increase their earnings and compete with other companies of the same level and in most cases lose the main idea on which it was based on and remains only something that can be accessed only if you are rich.

All in all, it can be amply seen in many scenarios littered throughout the history of the world that technology can be used both as a loving hand to nurture and grow the cradle of civilization to nudge it to slowly but surely reach its true zenith or potential or it may be used as a destructive weapon that can obliterate whole civilization in a matter of minutes. Which way will it take at the end completely depends on us humans who are creating it and slowly improving it. Thus it is not really right to create a movie which shows the deadly advancements of technologies which resulted as the complete annihilation of the humans and think that it is because of these technologies that we are putting ourselves into danger, rather look into the architects behind them who are creating and ordering them and understand where and why they went wrong and made sure that it never happens again so that the human and technology can truly strive hand in hand to make a world that is better for both.
